Project Description: Current research projects include examination of microplastics in sediment and water resources, examination of dust from gravel roads, impact of salinity on radium and radon concentrations in water, and freshwater bivalves as indicators of pollution. Much of the work is conducted in western Pennsylvania in areas of historical oil and gas development and coal mining.
