As part of our STEM Workshops, Dr. Ola Rashwan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State Harrisburg, graciously agreed to lead an engaging workshop with our students based on her current research. Dr. Rashwan’s research focuses on micro and nanotechnology, specifically on the optimization of micro and nano surface features to improve the behavior of materials in contact. Fo our EnvironMentors STEM workshop, titled “3D Printing and the Next Industrial Revolution, Dr. Rashwan led our students on learning more about 3D technology, its history, and how it has evolved over time.
